This policy explains what personal information YourCarGarage collects, why, and what your rights are. YourCarGarage is a free service that connects UK drivers with local garages.

What we collect

When you send a booking request we collect the details you give us: your name, phone number, email address, vehicle registration, postcode, the service you want and any notes. We also collect basic technical and usage information (such as your approximate area and which pages you view) to run and improve the site.

Why we use it

We use your booking details to pass your request to the garage you chose, to confirm your booking, and to send you booking updates by email and text. If you tick the reminders option, we also use it to send you MOT, service and tax reminders. We do not use your details for unrelated marketing.

Who we share it with

When you request a booking, we share your request and contact details with the garage you selected so they can arrange the job with you directly. We use trusted providers to run the service, including our hosting, our email provider (SendGrid) and our text-message provider (Twilio). We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Your choices and rights

You can stop text reminders any time by replying STOP, and stop emails using the unsubscribe link in any email. You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to have it deleted. To do any of these, contact us via our contact page.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only for as long as we need it to provide the service and meet our legal obligations, then delete or anonymise it.
