These terms cover your use of YourCarGarage. By using the site you agree to them.

What we do

YourCarGarage introduces drivers to local garages. We are not a garage and we do not carry out any work ourselves. The contract for any work is between you and the garage.

No online payment

We never take payment online. When you send a booking request, the garage confirms the price and time and you pay the garage directly. A booking request is a request, not a confirmed appointment, until the garage accepts it.

Ratings and information

Ratings and review counts shown are sourced from Google and are provided for comparison only. We take care to keep listings accurate but cannot guarantee every detail is current. An MOT fee is capped by law, so you should never be charged more than the legal maximum for the test itself.

Your responsibilities

Please give accurate details when you book, and use the site lawfully. Do not misuse the service or attempt to disrupt it.

Our responsibility

We work hard to provide a reliable service but we provide the site "as is". We are not responsible for the standard of work carried out by a garage, or for any agreement you make with a garage. Any dispute about the work is between you and the garage, though we are happy to help where we can.

Garage membership and billing

These paragraphs apply to garages that join YourCarGarage as members. Listing a garage for free is not a membership and costs nothing.

Free trial. Membership starts with a 30-day free trial. A card is taken at the start, but nothing is charged during the trial, and booking requests you accept during the trial are free. If you cancel before the trial ends, you pay nothing.

Monthly plan. After the trial the Founding Member price is £10 a month, plus £10 for each booking request (lead) you accept. You pay nothing for a lead you decline. The membership renews each month until you cancel.

Yearly plan. Founding Members can choose to pay yearly instead: £120 a year, charged when the trial ends and then on the same date each year, and each lead you accept is charged at 20% off (£8 instead of £10) for as long as you stay on the yearly plan. The yearly plan renews automatically each year until you cancel.

How leads are charged. Accepted leads are charged to the card on file in a separate invoice, usually weekly, whichever plan you are on.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal: your membership continues to the end of the month or year you have already paid for and is not renewed. We do not refund membership fees for any part of a month or year that has already been paid, including a yearly fee, except where the law requires us to. Charges for leads you accepted before cancelling remain payable.

Founding price. The Founding Member prices above stay fixed for as long as your membership continues without a break.

Transfer of the business

We may transfer, assign, novate or subcontract any of our rights and obligations under these terms, and we may transfer the business or its assets, including garage listings, accounts and related data, to a third party, for example on a sale, merger, investment or reorganisation of the business. These terms continue to apply to the new owner. You may not transfer your own rights or obligations under these terms without our consent.

Changes and law

We may update these terms from time to time; the latest version always applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
